Kate Middleton's Outfit Repeats
The Duchess of Cambridge has us seeing double. Here are her top outfit recycling efforts
Jane Troughton dress
Kate Middleton's most recent outfit repeat is this cream-coloured brocade coatdress by Jane Troughton, which she wore to the July 30 nuptials (right) of Prince William's cousin Zara Phillips. Middleton wore the same frock coat five years ago to the wedding of her future husband's stepsister, Laura Parker Bowles. Back in 2006 she paired the dress with a feathered fascinator, while her more recent ensemble featured what has been dubbed "the potato chip hat."

So when did being sensible become unfashionable. I think Kate shows a sensibility not shown often enough in the rich and famous and yes...royals. What"s wrong with having a few favourite pieces of fashion that you love to wear over and over. We all have them. What makes it ok for the regular gal like me to be a repeat wearer but not her. Hats off to Kate...I like her for these very reason. She not a snob or hoity toity she seems to genuinely enjoy the life she has chosen, and for anyone who uses her as a role model...I don't think you will find better. Keep it up Kate...keep proving recycling is fashionable.
Why wouldn't Kate want to wear these clothes multiple times... they are beautiful, classic and timeless! Diana seemed to cherish as "real" of a life as possible within the royal family... perhaps Kate is going to take being "real" to the next level?! Kate is exciting to watch because she seems to be somewhat humble and down to earth. Go Kate go!
An OUTFIT is an ensemble head to toe with clothes, jewelry, shoes, and handbags.
Kate styled her clothes differently in all these pictures. That's what a smart stylish person does, they know how to manipulate and change things up with stuff they already own, to make it look different.
Seriously if you spends hundreds or thousands on something, you'd be stupid to NOT use it again and with Kate being so popular, she would inevitably be photographed. Unfortunately people who have nothing better to talk about fashion-wise decide to bash fashion icons who give out the sensible message that it's okay to recycle clothing.
I think this is wonderful, that Kate is NOT afraid to wear something more than once. It shows that she is just like the rest of us, and is not any better. Hat's off to you Kate for being a unique future Queen.
Kate my darling , You may wear whatever you like , whenever you like. Kudos to you and all that support you in these comments.
You have been blessed with natural beauty and you have great taste in clothing. No matter what you wear , or how many times you wear it, your clothing compliments you and your fashion. It looks good on you and you make it look great.
Wear it twice or 200 times. After all, those that mock you for this may find they cant wear the same thing twice because they don't know how to clean their clothes or maybe they cant even fit into them the next time they try.
GO KATE , GO KATE :-)
It would be rediculous if she only wore an outfit only once. Who does?? Besides, she mixes it up with accessories, even I, a man nonetheless, notices that!
Leave the girl alone, she is real, and has dignity like her mother and her husband. How many "celebrities" have any kind of dignity left? Don't pick on the few that do!
MSN, don't become a tabloid...
I am not certain if they are trying to portray outfit repeats as a negative or a positive. Honestly, I think it is positive. It shows modesty and tastefulness in light of the fact that there are families in this world who can’t even find food for the day. Buying a new outfit for every occasion and outing would only display selfishness and an inability to relate to the reality that most people live. At the same time, I understand that being royalty ( seen everywhere you go) calls for a certain level of class and elegance but is wearing something you love multiple times really an issue(unless you wear it every day...lol)?
I give Kate thumbs up because she is one classy lady who obviously has enough good sense to wear something that looks fabulous more than once.
