Fall 2011 Shopping List

Here I was thinking that this list would be full of practical ideas for a busy person on the go.  My coffee went cold looking at THIS garbage? I could make a better list with my eyes closed.

Also, who in their right mind would wear a sheer skirt during a Canadian fall?

BOO!

I'm glad I never follow trends anyway and only wear the clothes that I like and not what some person tells me to wear because if I listened and bought all the "must have" trends I'd be wearing the ugliest ****g clothes imaginable! UGLY and UNFLATTERING even on the skinniest, tallest most beautiful women. The last 4 years all clothes have been horrifyingly ugly and I am so sick of these 'washed out faded' bland, ugly, boring trend of clothes. WTF is going on? I am going to start making my own clothes now!

Sigh.  A totally disappointing round-up of universally unflattering garments for what is usually my favourite fashion season.  I find it disappointing that the fashion industry is so pre-occupied with creating garments that are "fashion forward" rather than focusing on creating new classics.  Surely some of these pieces are a designers private joke on the rest of the world (sleeveless blazer, anyone?).  The fact that the majority of these items are very costly is simply adding insult to injury!  I, for one, think that the idea of grown women wearing "varsity jackets" is ridiculous!  And for the love of God, Flare, please do not encourage average Canadian women (like myself) to purchase and/or attempt jumpsuits.  The horror!

It's funny what we in North America consider 'must haves'. In other parts of the world and even in our countries, must-haves are food, shelter, clothing...

People should really 1) Analyze their priorities or 2) Reword their titles. 

Wow, the " Flare pick" Stella McCartney Jumpsuit it's only $1200!!!! That sounds like the amount of money that the average woman in Canada would spend on one article of clothing. During tough economic times I find it insulting that a magazine that targets primarily younger women would put this kind of crap out there.

This is very nasty stuff.  Even Twiggy would not be caught dead in that trash.  Omg it is horrible.  Women are lovely wonderful creatures, and are not stupid, but somehow are lead around by the comestic and clothing industries by the nostrils.  No one, not even some washed up hippie would spend a dime on this stuff.   

Bunch of junk, some of it from the 70's, one of the ugliest eras in fashion. Stop treating women like they have to throw out all of their wardrobe, and run to the malls to buy this garbage.

It's just a big money making facade.  They would never pull this kind of tricks on men, because

they would boycott and not buy.

 

Time for women to get smarter, and say NO - NOT INTERESTED.
