I love Helen Mirren (H) just as much as you but this outfit is not a HIT. The dress and overcoat are not the same blue hence, not a matching outfit and the shoes are horrible.
Dress for Diane Lane (H) fits well but is very BLAH old fashion even and the gray accessories do nothing for this outfit
Helen Hunt (D) looks terrific. Her hairstyle is the newest thing-check it out-and barely any makeup? Hey! the girl looks great.

Kerry Washington’s dress was awful. It wasn’t flattering on her body! The “sky blue fabric across the bust is the stand-out feature?” Trust me it is one of the stand-out’s and it’s not in a good way. The ruffles just look like someone vomited on the dress I’m sorry. Her makeup and hair are the best thing going on here.
Helen reminds me of one of those big candles in a dollar store. Waaay too much periwinkle. Escadanono..
Not sure what Kim was thinking, that dress could double as a bag for potatoes. Just awful.

Taylor Swift looks great! Modern, chic and edgy, very much age appropriate.
You can never go wrong with black on black (Lindsay Lohan), she could have toned down the fur coat and just had a fur vest, or fur scarf. The jacket she is wearing looks dated, or like it came out of a tickle-trunk.
Diane Lane gets a pass.
Helen could use some accessories! And maybe a red or berry lip couldn’t hurt. Same goes for Sally Field.
That dress is a hot mess. With the geometic patterns and design of the basic dress it would have been fine. Add the ruffle and it makes it too busy and just sloppy. I notice that when the stars are hot and up and coming it doesn't matter what they wear for you to say they are chic, slick, fabulous, etc. I wouldn't line my dog's bed with it. It's like the designer couldn't make its mind.
The shoes are fine but the jumpsuit looks like something you would wear to the beach. Jumpsuits are not appropriate for the red carpet. Generally, they are a little too casual looking just like this one. As a matter of fact the pattern of the fabric makes this jumpsuit look like pyjamas, just sew the feet on them and you have a onesie.
You Diss Carly Rae Jepsen because OMG she looked like a presentable young lady with no low cut top, no tighter than thight, bum revealing skirt or pants. The young heavens forbid looks like a young lady, must be why the so called fashion critic here hates it.
WOW must be a terrible day when our youth dress with a good example for Christmas or New Years !!!!! No wonder you dont understand it Laura it has taste and class, something you obviously lack!! Happy 2013 please educate yourself as a treat this year.
Just who is judging the clothes on these women? OMG Kelly looks FABULOUS in this outfit. Ladies and gentlemen of the viewing audience , I implore you....do NOT pay any attention to these wannabe fashion critics. go with what you , personally , like on these women and forget the misguided, obtuse views of those who may want to believe they know of what they speak...but clearly do not. In the end it is ALWAYS YOUR PERSONAL OPINION THAT MATTERS. Not some brand name brown noser who sucks up to corperate blood suckers anyway!!!
