And don't neglect surrounding skin: "With a natural look, you must take into account the entire hand and even the arms," says Jenna Hipp, an L.A.-based celebrity nail artist who created a wardrobe of nude polishes with RGB. Exfoliate your hands and then moisturize, advises the pro, who applies a nourishing nail serum containing essential oils over the entire back of the hand with a foundation brush to distribute it evenly. Then clean nails with acetone polish remover and follow with a smoothing base coat, colour and topcoat.
