The vast majority of straight men don't really care about fashion. We like to look good, but shopping is so much easier for men, and as a result we spend less time worrying about what we're wearing.
If you want us to dress better, fine, feel free to buy us new clothes, just don't expect a huge amount of effort on our part.
We will never care about clothes as much as you do

I am really starting to get sick of the over generalized, blanket statement style articles MSN is posting on a regular basis. First "Why married people are jealous of single people" (total BS!) and now this? Really? Evidently the man who wrote this is completely delusional if he thinks this is the "average" man. My husband is nothing like any of the comments above - thank god I am not married to a man like this.

From the female perspective, I do believe most of these are true. I don't believe that these comments make men terrible. That being said, some women do check out other men throughout the day, and yes, I do believe men check out other women, it's human nature, but be aware that for every woman a man checks out, somebody, perhaps in the plural form, has checked out your girlfriend or wife.

This is a little note to all Women.
WOMEN FORCE THEIR MEN TO LIE. THEY DO NOT LEAVE THEM ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE (except anger over a totally loaded question and subsequent divorce)
Women are constantly asking questions that a man can not possibly answer without the woman feeling insulted. If he answers one way she's upset about something, and if he answers the other way she's upset about something on that side.
THEY DO THIS CONSTANTLY WITHOUT REALIZING THE POSITION SHE IS PUTTING THE MAN IN.That is WITH NO WAY OUT.
WOMEN ALSO EXPECT A MAN TO LIE TO CERTAIN QUESTIONS. They do not want the man to answer truthfully because they know the truth would hurt. THEY SEE THE LIE AS CARING. He lies so he doesn't hurt the woman's feelings, and that is exactly why the woman asked the question in the first place. To see if the man love's her enough to lie to her to protect her feelings.
This is why I will never get married. I am incapable of lying even the littlest of lies. When I do it eats at me and eats at me (lying to my girl) until I have to set the record straight and confess to the lie and it usually hurts her. And knowing I've hurt her, hurts me.
So please ladies try not to force your man to lie to you. It can be very hard on him even when it's just a little white lie.

@Brett Viddal I don't want a liar. I want the truth. Maybe this is why my boyfriend and I don't argue very much, because we tell each other the truth. Sure, he can tell when I'm upset and I say nothing is wrong - not in a mean, bitchy way, but because I don't want to overwhelm and upset HIM - and we talk about it after a couple of "tell me's" - I'm still a woman after all.

You could almost invert and overlap the sex & correspondance points as they tend to be equally relevant for the opposing gender. If women could possibly understand that men care as much about physical intimacy as they do about receiving correspondance we might get somewhere. Though, sadly from a mans point of view, women only tend to be interested in passionate sex PRIOR to the formation of a stable relationship. And men will only care about correspondance when there is a benefit and not just a cost associated with it. Thus men will correspond at the start of a relationship and not when it becomes secure & stable.
Men and women are similar in one area (progency). Men are focused on practicing the creation, women on bettering the outcome of the product.
So, normal men focus on things that will increase their chances: Fitness (Sports), Wealth, Status, Power & increased freqency with an increased number of women.
Normal women focus on ac****ulating as many resources and as much time input from the father, friends, family and society.
Look at it that way and you can easily understand why, guys have roving eyes, why women dress up when going out and why a powerful man or a young slim woman are going to have many many many more sexual options than poor, weak, unpopular men or obese, cold, older women.

What happened to "Love changes people"? What I think is this guy is really in love with himself, and he sees women as these evil, nagging, scheming monsters plotting to castrate all men. I think he also sees men as these stupid, sexually depraved beasts of burden that drag thier perpetually erect elephant leg on the ground, looking for women that they're not in a relationship with to have sex with.
